Sonamarg or "Meadow of Gold" is a another sheer beauty of Kashmir, an alpine valley is situated at the bank of Nallah Sindh - a tributary of the Jhelum River. This is the home of Kolhoi Peak, Amarnath Peak and Sirbal Peak etc. Lots of trek starts from here, like Vishansar Lake, Krishansar Lake, Gangabal Lake & Gadsar Lake etc. Pahalgam or "The Valley of Shepherds" is another popular tourist destination & picturesque hill station, situated beside the Liddar River. It’s associated with the annual Amarnath Yatra. Three main tourist spots in Pahalgam are - Chandanwari, Betaab Valley & Aru Valley.
