Guwahati is linked very well with the major cities of by air and railways. Besides, it has excellent road connectivity.

Arunachal Pradesh

Tejpur is the nearest airport (225 km), which has air link with Kolkata and Guwahati. The nearest railhead from Itanagar is Harmuty (33 km).

Manipur

The regular flights from Imphal connect Manipur to Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Silchar, and Aizwal. Dimapur (219 km) is the nearest railhead.

Meghalaya

Shillong has limited flights to Kolkata. Guwahati (128 km) is the nearest major airport. Guwahati is also the nearest major railhead from Shillong, which is merely 3 hours drive.

Mizoram

Indian Airlines flights connect Aizwal, the capital of Mizoram, to Kolkata and Imphal. Silchar (Assam) is the nearest railhead from Aizwal.

Nagaland

The nearest airport, as well as major railhead, is in Dimapur(74 km) from the capital city Kohima.

Tripura

Agartala has their own airport, which has good air link with Kolkata and Guwahati. The nearest railhead is Kumarghat on North East Frontier Railway (140 km).
