While traveling from Siliguri, West Bengal, one can board buses or shared jeeps up to Kakarbhitta crossing the Panitanki border and then taking regular buses to Kathmandu or Pokhara.

By Train

Though there are a number of routes to reach Nepal, one nearest railhead is the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), which can lead you up to Raxual Junction (RXL) in approximately 13 hrs and 55 minutes. From Raxual Junction, you can reach Kathmandu by hiring a car and covering a distance of about 2 hours and 26 minutes.
